Museum
The only museum of its kind in the world, the Costume Museum is an astounding historical exhibit of the Original costumes brought to the Broadway stage!
This incredible space hosts a breathtaking new exhibit each year, featuring a collection of dazzling costumes from Broadway and Hollywood in addition to fascinating historical garments and artifacts.
The museum’s full archive collection has been featured on The Today Show, in People magazine and a historic multi-page feature in Vogue Magazine.
“For the past 45 years, I have had the privilege of collecting wardrobes from the most prestigious and successful Broadway productions in history,” said Founder and Executive Producer Marilynn A. Wick.
“My passion for preserving this cornerstone of the American theatre inspired me to envision the rehearsal and prop storage area at the rear of the theatre as the dramatic showcase where over 100 years of our history can be preserved and appreciated for years to come.”

HOW IT CAME TO BE
Marilynn and her daughter, Kimberly, began the Costume World Broadway Collection at a non-descript warehouse facility located in Pompano Beach in January of 2010. Despite the low-profile location, the Broadway Collection rapidly developed a passionate following that exceeded 20,000 guests with nothing more than a word-of-mouth marketing strategy. “From the moment we opened the doors to our first guests, our reputation grew beyond our wildest expectations,” said Kimberly Wick, curator of the Costume Museum and frequent docent on the tours. “The support of the community, the charities, the women’s groups and all of the social organizations were the key to our popularity. The obvious love they had for what we had created in that unusual and out-of-the-way place led to a groundswell of support that we could never have anticipated. It convinced us to make this iconic collection available to all of South Florida as well as visitors world-wide. It definitely carried a great deal of weight in our decision to purchase the theatre and move the collection to Boca Raton.”
